Jonathan rea (2002) 37 Jonathan is a Linfield Lifer, having a ended the school from kindergarten through 12th grade (1989-2002). Not only that, he was a staff kid who actually remembers living in one of the old faculty houses that used to be on the property! His mom served as the librarian of the school; his dad taught science (among other subjects), and his sisters, Katie and Julia, also a ended/graduated from Linfield. After graduating in 2002, Jonathan a ended West- mont College in Santa Barbara and earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry, eventually taking a position teaching math and science at a small Christian middle school. After ge ing married, he a ended UCSB to get his teaching credential and his master's degree and taught at a couple differ- ent charter schools in Oakland, California. He currently lives in San Leandro with his wife and two sons, Luke and Ben. Jonathan now teaches chemistry at San Leandro High School and a ends First Covenant Church, volunteering with the high school ministry and playing electric guitar with one of the worship teams. When he thinks back on his years at Linfield, Jonathan remembers Mrs. Woods' 8th grade US History class. He says, "We read A Night to the Remember the year Titanic came out in theaters, and then we all went to her house, threw block ice into the pool, and jumped in with all of our clothes on. It was cold." He also recalls how the Internet was becoming a thing when he was in middle school and how his dad was tasked with se ing up the school-wide network. "I crawled through a lot of a ics in buildings all over that campus running ethernet cables," he says.
