Tonight's game is an exclamation mark at the end of an already awesome week of competitions, one that has included class clashes in color wars, lip sync ba les, combat dodgeball, trench tug-of-war, and last but not least…the Great Race! It was loud, rowdy, and ridiculously fun. We have inherited an awesome tradition of epic silliness! It is sweet to be a Linfield Lion. Truly. Congratulations to the young men and women who were chosen by their peers to represent Linfield Christian School in this year's Homecoming Court. These are some of Linfield's finest ambassa- dors, and I am grateful to belong to an educational community that a racts, inspires, and produces princes, princesses, kings, and queens who are of such exceptional caliber. Thank you, Homecoming Court, for who you are and for all you bring to this school. We salute you! Tonight our mighty Lions take on the Falcons from Aquinas on the gridiron of Fox Field. Football is a remarkable sport that offers our young men the opportunity to develop character and courage through ba le. We cheer and celebrate their efforts not only because we want to win the football game, but because we want to graduate young men of character and courage who are ready to serve the Lord and the world through their character and leader- ship. Tonight we play for the win while relentlessly pursuing the greater victory. As we cheer on the Lions, celebrate the Court, and welcome home the Alumni, let's do so with grateful hearts that humbly acknowl- edge that we are stewards of a tradition we inherited from those who have gone before us. And let's remember that the simple blessing of enjoying a high school football game is in itself evidence of God's goodness and grace.
