2017 HOMECOMING COURT faith hastley 31 This is my first year at Linfield, and I absolutely love it here! I am 14 years old and a freshman; I have participated in soccer, cross country, and track, but I can't wait to run track with Linfield this year. I absolutely love running, serving at my church in the children's ministry, going to the beach, hiking and traveling. My favorite Bible verse is Hebrews 12:1, which says, "Let us also lay aside every weight and sin which clings so closely, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us." This verse encourages me to get back up and keep going whenever I fall down in life. My role model is Mackenzie Reyes. She has been through more than anyone could imagine, and somehow she is just so happy and amazing all of the time. Even when she is going through a rough time, she still achieves great things, and that makes me want to keep striving for greatness in everything I do, even in the low times of my life. lauren taylor I am a 14 year old freshman, and this is my third year at Linfield. Before coming, I was an ambassador for my school, and now I'm a part of ASB here at Linfield! As I get older I would love to develop a career in the performing arts because my hobbies are singing, acting, dancing, running, and playing the piano. I also enjoy spending time with friends and family. My favorite Bible verse is 1 Peter 4:10, which says, "Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God's grace in its various forms." My role model is Audrey Hepburn because she was such an amazing singer and actress. She was also a UNICEF ambassador and was known as such a kind and compassionate woman who worked very hard as a mother and wife. noah mariano I am a 13 year old freshman, and this is my fourth year at Linfield. I'm very happy that I'm part of the Linfield family. In middle school I ran both cross country and track and field, and for the past six years I have served in my church's children's ministry; that has been such a great experience. This past summer I also had the privilege of going to Panama on a mission trip. One of my favorite things to do in my free time is to play ukulele; I have been playing for one year, and I can't wait to learn and play new songs. I also enjoy spending time with my family and friends. My favorite Bible verse is John 14:6: "I am the way, the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father except through me." I chose this because it is the first verse I ever memorized, and it shows how we get salvation. My role model is my dad, Darius Mariano, because he taught me how to live a life the way God wants me to and because he continues to help me in my spiritual growth.
