Saturdays: 8:30 am, 9:05 am, 9:40 am (30 min) Level 4: Able to swim two widths each of front and back crawl; kneeling dive; tread water. Saturdays: 8:30 am, 10:30 am (40 min) Level 5: Able to swim one length each of front and back crawl in good form; tread water for two minutes; standing dive; deep water bobbing; scissor kick; whip kick. Saturdays: 9:10 am, 11:10 am (40 min) Level 6/7: Able to swim two lengths each of front and back crawl; one length each of sidestroke and breaststroke; one length of dolphin kick; open turns on front and back. Saturdays: 9:50 am (40 min) Foundations Approaching Swim Team (FAST)/ Level 7: This class focuses on building endurance, refining the four primary strokes and introducing starts and turns. Saturdays: 12 pm (60 min) Private Swim Lessons (All ages) Private swim lessons are available to members of all ages and swimming abilities. Traditions, discipline, respect and mental training are a few of its bene- fits. Channel that excess energy into a great skill. Ages 7+ Wednesdays: 6:30–8:30 pm Saturdays: 9:30–11:30 am Parents welcome Adults $8 per class, $6 with enrolled child or free with Fitness Advantage 4th Floor Studio B With Tom Tanaka's expert instruction, learn basic karate punches and strikes, as well as endurance and listening skills. Saturdays: Ages 5–8: 10:30–11:15 am Ages 9+: 11 am–12 pm Classes combine from 11–11:15 am Parents welcome. Adults $8 per class, $6 with enrolled child or free with Fitness Advantage. 8th Floor FTR-A Gymnastics Learn basic gymnastics skills in a gentle, fun, noncompetitive atmosphere. Kiddy Skills is an introduction to tumbling. Beginner students will learn tumbling and low balance beam. Class sizes are limited to ensure the safety of your child. Saturdays: Kiddy skills (ages 3+): 9:30–10:15 am Beginner (ages 4–5): 10:15–11 am Beginner to intermediate (ages 5–6): 11–11:45 am 8th Floor FTR-B JUNIOR FIT Join Will Hicks, WAC Personal Trainer, for high-energy fitness sessions with lots of fun. This four-week series will introduce kids to exercise and the benefits of a healthy lifestyle. It's offered twice per week and is intended for ages 10–14. Wednesdays: 4 pm, Saturdays: 12 pm; $120 per series; six-person minimum 8th Floor FTR-A BASKETBALL Let's Get It Started— Saturday Junior Basketball This fall, WAC kids have the opportunity to start learning the game of basketball from Husky legend and former profession- al basketball player Donald Watts. Come out and learn basketball fundamentals and basic rules of the game—and have fun shooting hoops. Experienced hoopsters will receive more-advanced tools for quicker, stronger and smarter play. Saturdays, September 8–October 20 Sign up for seven weeks for $105. Starters divisions (ages 5–9); 9–10 am For players just learning the game; learn funda- mentals of shooting, dribbling, passing and teamwork Mid-range shooters (ages 9–13); 10–11 am For players who have learned the fundamentals and are ready to incorporate them into game situations Competitive players (ages 12–18); 11 am–12 pm For experienced players already playing on a team in middle or high school; work on your jump shot and defense and take your game to the next level KIDS DANCE Learn to dance hip hop, swing and alter- native. Instructor Chloe Shaffer will take you through some basic moves. You'll also help choreograph a routine and have lots of fun. Saturdays: 9:30–10:30 a.m.; 8th Floor FTR-A; $125/session; seven-week session runs September 8–October 20; minimum of six participants; ages 4+ PREMIERE GOLF & TENNIS Indoor Golf & Tennis TGA Premier Junior Golf and TGA Premier Youth Tennis are bringing all the excitement of playing golf and tennis to the WAC. TGA's award-winning enrich- ment programs were created with guid- ance from education experts, PGA profes- sionals and the U.S. Tennis Association. Their curricula focus on educational con- cepts and physical fitness as well as instill- ing confidence and life values. Golf and tennis classes will run separately.
