We post these commitments in many places in the building to remind members and staff what is expected in this wonderful place. This month I want to focus on excellence. I am thrilled to announce that once again the WAC has been awarded 5-Star Platinum Club of America recognition as one of the top five athletic clubs in the country as well as Washington state's best club. We have now won the award, given every three years, six consecutive times, dating to its inaugural year of 1997. Congratulations to our deserving team members, who consistently fulfill our mission and live our values to make the WAC what it is. Congratulations also to the member leaders and members, who endorse and support what the WAC has been and continues to be. We will carry forward the theme of excellence as we grow and evolve the Club to ensure we win another Platinum Club award next time, too. One of the criteria for the award recognizes a club's role in its community. The ur members know how the WAC is committed to its mission and values. How, every day, enriching the quality of life of our members is the guiding principle of everything we do. How leadership, excellence, integrity, service WAC is proud of its many Community Partnerships, including with Special Olympics Washington and the Boeing Classic. It's not only the Club that's a big contributor to the region, but our members as well. We are thrilled that so many of you, for all the right reasons, have combined together to do great things for great causes. This month, our feature story recognizes some of these efforts (see page 20).
