SNAPSHOTS WAC members enjoyed a variety of excursions and events this past spring. Here's just a sample: In May, Club members spent a day on Whidbey Island visiting sculptor Georgia Gerber and her bronze creations before surrounding themselves with glorious rhododendrons at Meerkerk Gardens. In early June, 200 members and guests visited the King Tut exhibit at Pacific Science Center. A few days later, members shopped for local ingredients at Pike Place Market and prepared a delicious dinner of home- made pasta, halibut and strawberry shortbreads at Blue Ribbon Cooking. Not long afterward, others flashed back to the 1962 Seattle World's Fair with martinis, 1960s-themed appetizers and an enlightening historical tour of the fairgrounds at Seattle Center.
