CHRISTOPHER JOSEPH TAYLOR (5) ATHLETIC PROGRAMS Junior Programs 206.464.3074 • Aquatics 206.464.3086 • wac.net/athletics WAC Kids Triathlon T he 5th Annual WAC Kids Triathlon was a huge success this past June 23. Member kids competed in the three-sport event after spending four weeks preparing and build- ing endurance. The triathlon began in Coed Fitness with the bike segment of the race. From there, the kids moved to the 8th Floor track for the running segment of the triathlon. The final leg of the competition, the swim, took place in the 6th Floor pool. After the event, the up-and-coming triath- letes celebrated their hard work with goodies and a pool party with the WACness Monster. All the kids looked great, performed well and deserve huge congratulations. A special thumbs-up goes out to Holden Nora and Willa Barrett, first-time participants who collected first place in their respective age groups. Well done, triathletes. The WAC is proud of all of you! WAC kids smile for the camera after the triathlon. Back row: Lawrence Lorbiecki, Willa Barnett, Ghislaine Ederer, Aquatics Supervisor Jennifer Mesler, Swim Instructor Todd Kowalski. Front row: Holden Nora, Lane Skotdal, Maggie Straley. The WAC Kids Triathlon takes place in a nontraditional order: bike, run, swim. Parents were there to cheer on the budding triathletes, and the legendary WACness Monster capped off the fun.
