Kouya Shaffer weighed eight pounds, two ounces. Suzana started at the Spa just a year ago and has completely turned around its operation. "Her management, leadership by example and thorough understanding of the spa industry have proven invaluable," Vice President Athletics Wayne Milner says. "She was given a goal to dramatically improve the financial performance of the spa in five years and accomplished it in one." Suzana is known for her proactive approach and for thinking big. She consistently has new ideas about how to bring Club members improved service and benefits. "She has been a great addition to the Athletics management team," Fitness Manager Megan Usui says. "She has helped us co-create and share ideas, which is a testament to her investment in the Club's overall success." She also garners the respect of her team and presents herself with pure professionalism. "Suzana always looks polished," Restaurant Operations Manager Danielle Crowson says. "She embodies the Spa." Adds Wayne: "She makes tough decisions but never loses sight of the WAC values, and she consistently approaches her responsibilities with continuous improvement in mind." DID YOU KNOW? ✪ Adrian hopes to become a personal trainer some day. ✪ He has a large collection of toys and comics. ✪ Adrian also works as a deejay for weddings and other events. DID YOU KNOW? ✪ Suzana is working toward an MBA at the University of Washington Bothell School of Business. ✪ She has two daughters, 8-year-old Medi and 4-year-old Ella. ✪ In 1999, Suzana moved to the U.S. from Croatia, where she worked as a translator as part of peacekeeping operations.
