NEW Hires CONTINUING NE'S CREDO New hires in position to do whatever it takes to be your preferred supplier Northeastern Supply's CEO, Steve Cook, has often remarked that, "It's always the people" —an approach and belief that a company's people are the ones who bring the relationships and the benefi ts to its customers. With sweeping moves to add experience, infl uence and capabilities to Northeastern Supply that directly and positively a ect its customers, NE has made the following new hires and position changes in adhering to the motto of "Working harder, doing whatever it takes to be your preferred supplier." NE has always put customers fi rst and fi rmly believes in cultivating and maintaining strong customer relationships. As Cook explained, "We are a young thinking, aggressive company, constantly striving to do it better. We live and breathe our mission statement, and these people have been put in place to achieve that and benefit our customers." JEN TARR CORPORATE CREDIT MANAGER Jen Tarr is NE's new Corporate Credit Manager. Tarr has more than 22 years of experience in the HVAC and construction industries, specializing in new construction, sales and direct credit, and has solved customers' issues on many levels. Tarr added, "NE's slogan is: 'Customer Focused,' and it's so true. NE's leadership and sta understand that this industry has many options, and we want to be our customers' fi rst choice. The NE family is a great group of people to work with, and every one of us are very focused on customers and how we can be even better for them. I will bring that focus to help our credit customers and they, too, are part of the NE family." STAN ALLEN PRESIDENT Starting at the top, Cook announced that he has relinquished his role as president and will continue solely as the CEO. Cook served as NE's president for more than 31 years, and in his stead, has appointed industry veteran Stan Allen. "As we are constantly striving to improve," said Cook, "I felt in my heart we needed a president who will push us harder and make us better on a day-to- day basis—some fresh blood, fresh enthusiasm and fresh ideas. This move also positions us to remain family-owned, operating with the same family values we have always adhered to." Stan Allen is no stranger to the business, bringing more than 30 years of experience in the plumbing wholesale distribution supply industry, including serving as president for a plumbing wholesale distributor 5 years prior to joining NE. Allen said, "I am extremely humbled and excited to join the team at Northeastern Supply. There is a long history of success that has been built on a foundation of hard work, developing strong relationships and doing whatever it takes to be our customers' preferred supplier. We want to continue to build on our history and tap into our full potential." Allen, has participated in "leadership and executive programs that challenged my thinking and business acumen. I have hit the ground running and focused on understanding NE's culture while earning respect and trust from the NE associates and customers. I will bring experience, energy, passion and love of the industry to the position." Additionally, Allen said, "In my years in the industry, I have never seen the loyalty and fondness that customers have for Northeastern. This is a true testament to how John and Steve Cook have put the customer fi rst in every decision they make. We have hard working, loyal and dedicated associates that wake up every day focused on the customer. This is the No. 1 reason NE is preferred in the markets we serve. I am very PROUD to be on the NE team."
