If the weather is too cold or inclement, have lunch next to a window and take time to notice naturally soothing things like birds and clouds. Try a New Recipe Break out a cookbook and break out of your dinner rut with a new recipe. Invite a friend or child/grandchild to cook with you. Don't rush. Wear aprons. Pretend you're hosting a cooking show. In other words, have a good time - and give yourself the grace and space to mess up. (Have your favorite take-out place on speed dial just in case.) Clean With Intention After trying that new recipe, clean the kitchen - or any spot in the house - with intention. That is, concentrate on the act of cleaning itself, and the way a newly-clean space improves your mood and helps reduce feelings of stress.
