WheelsOfGrace.com | Volume 14 Issue 4 | 19 Hey, welcome back to Shop Talk with Pastor Jim. Now, I don't know about you, but you can have a new bike with all the power you want. You can have an old bike like this girl. You can have anything in between. You can have the most expensive bike there is. But here's what I'm going to tell you: T R A C T I O N without good tires, it really doesn't matter how great the bike is; because without the tires, on those wet roads, you're going to slip and slide, and the most expensive bike is going to go down. The old bike is going to go down. You may not even get anywhere because if they're flat, you can't drive the bike. It doesn't matter what's here on the bike if you don't take care of the tires. This is the foundation of our bikes. Through and through. You got to have good tires on your bikes. How does that relate? Well, if we don't have a firm foundation in the Word of God, then, listen, we're going to fall over too. We're going to crash and burn. We're not going to be able to get a grip in our Walk with God. It's so important that we have a firm foundation, keeping reading the word, and spending time in prayer with others. And I know I say this a lot, but the truth is the truth. We got to have a foundation in Christ if we want to succeed. There are too many things in this world to pull you away. There are too many things that will take you off course. Now, personally, I love the GPS in my road glide. It's great. You don't have to think about it, it's just go. I also love using the GPS on my phone when I ride an older bike. We have to have direction in life. We have to walk with Christ, or we'll be out there wandering around and it is not a good place to be. So, make sure you have a firm foundation on the bike and in your life. Make sure that you go after the things of God, get some traction, get some tread behind you, and watch what He's going to do in your life! Until next time…Life's a Journey, Let's Ride Together!
