To accomplish the mission, NE has joined the realm of social engagement media as we now interact with you online with our new Email Alert Program and it doesn't cost you anything. All you need to do is subscribe for free, and if you would like to give us feedback, you can tell us how to make it better for you. Northeastern Supply's new Email Alert Program is an email that comes to you once a week to keep you informed of current events and such noteworthy items as surplus inventory deals, and price increases and decreases. The information comes within an email and may feature company-wide events such as tool days, training programs, counter days, grand openings, meet-the-vendor events, racing news, specials on solar water heating systems, price savings or industry trends. The NE initiative is a collaborative effort that encompasses inside sales, the purchasing department and branch managers to determine what surplus is available and what price savings and price changes can be brought to customers. Even if you are not tech savvy, don't be afraid of this. It is an easy process. Jamie Leo, NE's Marketing and Creative Service Manager said, "NE will always be hands-on and this email alert and social media engagement is not meant to replace interpersonal contact with anyone at Northeastern Supply. Our reps will always be here to serve you. This just adds another level of contact for you. We can ease you in, or if you elect not to join in, you can expect the same service we have given you before." Northeastern understands that every day is filled with information overload, so NE has this program set up to allow you to choose what information you would like to receive, that would be beneficial to you and your company. This includes industry and product articles, white papers, including one coming up from Moen on homecare, AIP (Age In Place) and ADA universal design accessories. Leo added, "As more of our customers find that electronic engagement is an integral part of their business, this system allows them to get current information very quickly — even when they are on the jobsite. It allows them to follow through with an action plan and get back to us just by clicking on links." Leo continued, "Several thousand NE customers are already using the service. They can set up the information to come to their home email or work email and, if they find it non-relevant, they can unsubscribe at any time. Our customers can look at these alerts at their leisure — during the day, at work, on the jobsite, in the evenings after their service work or on weekends."
