Send your inquires to: AbbysHealthAndNutrition@yahoo.com Hi Abby, My name is Jaclyn, I am 32 and currently pregnant with my second child. During my first pregnancy I developed Melasma on my cheeks and forehead. Because it really bothers me, I've read a lot about it and much of "the talk" has been that chemical (dermatologist) creams and lasers don't work but rather that it's a hormonal thing (which would make sense with its onset at pregnancy) and as such is best treated/ cured from within. Have you had any experience in treating Melasma? What are your thoughts on using supplements? Thank you so much for your time and help. I can't tell you how much I'd appreciate it – dermatologists and aestheticians haven't' been able to give me any answers and healing it internally if it is due to hormonal imbalance – definitely makes sense. Hope to hear for you soon. Jaclyn Hi Jaclyn, Yes, indeed excess pigmentation occurs during pregnancy. Pregnancy causes estrogen levels to rise. Estrogen stimulates cell growth which is needed. Excess estrogen cause pigmentation even in women who are not pregnant. I have not seen supplementation help Melasma, however, there is a topical product that will reduce the pigmentation but it will take some time and requires your patience, "Happy Skin Tonic" by Dr. Chi applied to the areas several times daily will eventually reduce the pigmentation. After your pregnancy and after nursing, there is a way to rebalance your various estrogens to inhibit increase in your pigmentation in the future. I have been told by my gynecologist that I have abnormal cells after a pap – I have had a hysterectomy for fibroid removal. I have read good things about Aloe Vera Juice (whole leaf) that it often brings remission of HPV which I may have. Is there a certain natural remedy that you know of for this? Thank you. Kerri Hi Kerri, Fibroids are caused by an imbalance in your various estrogens (estrone, estradiol & estriol). Your hysterectomy did not correct this imbalance. So you can conclude that you may still have estrogen dominance (elevated estrone and/or elevated estradiol). Excess estrogens can be a factor in cellular changes in your cervical tissue and abnormal cells (pre- cancer cells) in your pap. Your goal is to correct your estrogen levels. A product that will greatly help is "Myomin" by Dr. Chi. Myomin is an estrogen balancer and thus protective for cancer. Also "Cell Guard" has worked well along with Myomin to reverse abnormal app cells. What would you suggest to take to ease PAWS (Post-Acute Withdrawal Syndrome) from benzodiazepines? My son has been suffering for 6 months. Barbara Hi Barbara, I recommend a Coenzymated B Complex. For an adult, take three upon wakening and another two at 3pm. Have him take 1/4tsp of the Jarrow Inositol powder every 2 hours for several weeks until his anxiety reduces then 1/4 tsp every 3 hours. Relaxin by Chi Enterprise is great 45 minutes before bed to help him sleep. Hi. My name is Brian and I live in Wisconsin. I'm originally from Tampa and my mom told me the story of one of her friends who worked with you who had been stuck in her fitness/weight loss journey for a long time. Her friend saw incredible results and was able to detox and change her body. I eat clean and exercise religiously, yet I don't seem to be getting anywhere with my body fat percentage stuck around 15-17%. I'm writing you to ask if you are able to work with clients from afar? Thank you so much in advance for your help and/or insight! All the best. Brian Hi Brian, Yes, I work with long distance clients by phone. My suggestion is a protocol designed for optimal health. The side befits are weight loss with lower body fat! I call it the 5R Program. We can mail it to you. It includes an anti-inflammatory diet which repairs the various organs and efficiency of your body's metabolism. It is a 3-month food elimination diet. Your meals focus on a balance of protein (appropriate for your blood type), healthy fat, and high quality fiber (organic chia and/or hemp seeds). It also includes "Restore" which repairs damaged "tight junctions" of all of your organs. You cut sugar and carbohydrates dramatically. The protein, fat, and fiber combination satiates you and stabilizes your blood sugar thus reducing insulin production (very beneficial for weight loss and prevention of diabetes!) For more information, feel free to call me at (813) 996-6999 10am-noon EST. Is there any oral natural medicine that you would recommend for acne? My son is 19 and we were not keen on Accutane and topical prescription face wash and creams are not working. Been researching high dose Vitamin A but still not sure. Thanks-Tammy
