Dr. Aviva, as many of her patients call her, is The Women's Natural Doctor and The Organic Dr. Mom! Called "the face of natural medicine in the 21st century" by Prevention Magazine, she has bridged her interests in traditional medicine with her knowledge of science for over three decades. Dr. Aviva is the mother of four grown children, the grandmother of two tiny tots, a Yale-trained physician specializing in integrative medicine for women and children, a midwife, an herbalist, an award-winning author, and medical lecturer dedicated to optimal health for women and children. An internationally respected expert in botanical and integrative medicine for women and children, she has spent nearly 30 years as a health care practitioner and advocate for the health concerns of women and children. About Aviva Romm Dr. Aviva was one of the pioneers in natural birth and botanical medicine for gynecology, obstetrics, and pediatrics in the United States. She is the author of 7 books on natural medicine for women and children, including the award- winning textbook Botanical Medicine for Women's Health, as well as The Natural Pregnancy Book, Naturally Healthy Babies and Children, Natural Health After Birth, Vaccinations: A Thoughtful Parent's Guide, and ADHD Alternatives (with her husband Tracy Romm Ed.D.). Her many books are read and loved by parents around the world, and she is also a leader in the medical community. She is the founder of The Integrative Pediatric Medicine Mastermind Course for pediatricians and family doctors, is on the faculty of Yale University School of Medicine as a clinical lecturer, is a faculty member of Food as Medicine, is a medical journal editor and contributor, is the Medical Director of The American Herbal Pharmacopoeia, and has contributed to several important integrative medicine textbooks including Integrative Medicine: Principles for Practice (Kligler and Lee), and she is a co- author of The Botanical Safety Handbook (American Herbal Products Association). Dr. Aviva lives and practices medicine in the Massachusetts Berkshire mountains where she is creating an innovative practice in integrative medicine for women and children after having spent two years practicing functional medicine at The Ultra Wellness Center.
