Despite being an an -cannabis supporter back in 2010, a diges ve issue opened his eyes to a powerful terpene found in hemp. A er exhaus ve research and personal trial, he is helping lead the hemp revival so everyone can experience a well-balanced lifestyle using hemp- extract, which contains Cannabidiol (CBD), among many other powerful ingredients that work best together. What is the difference between cannabis and hemp? Whenever the word "cannabis" is spoken, most people think of marijuana. But hemp and marijuana both come from the same botanical family called cannabis. However, there has been, within the legal community, a defini on that has been created for the difference between marijuana and hemp, and it's really revolving around the THC content, more specifically, the delta-9-tetrahydrocannbinol content. To be considered hemp, cannabis needs to have a THC level of less than .3%. Now, I will tell you it can get a li le bit more complicated, when ge ng into gene cs. But really the main difference is that marijuana has THC, which is the psychoac ve compound that delivers an intoxica ng effect. Hemp is a plant that does not have concentra ons beyond .3% of THC, therefore hemp does not have an intoxica ng effect like THC. Hemp extract, which contains all of the elements found in hemp, including CBD, has many other healthy, natural benefits. What are the benefits of taking a hemp, or CBD, product for the Endocannabinoid System (ECS)? First, please understand that it's not uncommon to find some companies making claims that it basically looks as though taking an oil with CBD and other cannabinoids can treat almost any disease. The problem is that's irresponsible. It is not legal, according to the FDA. There are rules against making such claims, and any company making claims like this, please understand a few things: 1. They do not have the research to support it. 2. Two, even if they did, it is not legal or permissible, and you have to ask yourself the ques on, if they're not following the laws that the FDA have set forth, what other laws are they breaking? See, I know that we don't necessarily all agree with rules that the FDA makes. But the spirit of the rules truly are rooted in a place of properly represen ng what a product can do so that consumers are not misled, but also in the spirit of human safety. What does a hemp extract, or CBD oil, do? What is its potential? Now, let me introduce you to this system inside your body that's been iden fied. It is a more recent discovery in human health, likely considered by many in the scien fic and medical community as is one of the most amazing discoveries in our me. This Endocannabinoid System, when evaluated, has a unique self- regula ng system whose primary goal is to restore and maintain a sense of homeostasis or balance within the ECS. So you know what? Suppor ng the ECS can have an unbelievable number of poten al outcomes for a person, especially in this complex world where we find ourselves con nually out of balance. But I will tell you that it is crucial that we do a great deal more research so that we can more properly define not only what it does, but what is the right potency, and what is the right formula ons to take in order to elicit or support the ECS properly. Despite all the sugges ons regarding how much, or the strength in milligrams to take, the one common sugges on everyone can agree on is to start off slow. The idea that more is be er is probably not a wise idea. Everybody has different poten al needs, weight levels and factors that affect how much one might need to take. Plus, not all products are alike. The goal isn't to find and take the most potent product and use as much as possible. The goal should be to find what works for you personally. Now at HempFusion™ we do something unique. We do know that many people are looking to these products for certain answers. Where we're not legally Q&A with Jason Mitchell, N.D.
