Page 16 | Abby's Magazine - www.AbbysMag.com allowed to talk about certain condi ons, it is important to know that the formula on is key. So if we put together the right formula on that operates within the law and allows us to make what are called structure func on claims, people can get closer answers to what they're trying to do. Let me give you an example. We have a product for stress. It says HempFusion™ Stress. Now, yes, it does have CBD, plus terpenes and omegas, that are built into what we call our whole food hemp complex which offers what we believe to be the correct way to deliver formula ons, according to the science, to support the ECS. We have added Organic Ashwagandha (Sensoril which is a scien fically validated form of this botanical). Scien fically, Ashwagandha has shown to have an ability to support your body, in mes of stress. Ashwagandha is an herb that's known as an adaptogen. This adaptogen may to restore a sense of balance when you feel wound up, It may help to offer support with relaxa on, and if we're drained, it may help to li us up. And this is a pre y key ingredient. The name HempFusion™ means we take hemp and fuse it together with other things, so that we can offer true support. We have a product called HempFusion™ Sleep, where we've added PharmaGABA, a form of the amino acid, GABA, Gamma-Aminobutyric acid that helps the mind relax, so that if the mind is relaxed and the body's relaxed, the chances of sleeping are poten ally be er. You can poten ally fall asleep easier. We have our product called HempFusion™ Energy. We added in guayusa, which is a unique herbal tea leaf, along with ginseng and ginger. We call this our HempFusion™ Energy Complex. It's not designed to give some caffeinated high form of energy, it's really designed to give this level of suppor ve, just smooth energy throughout your day. What does HempFusion™ do differently than other CBD companies? Well, the crucial and most important difference is, the philosophy that we go by, we don't believe that CBD is the only thing needed. We don't believe that CBD is this singular magic bullet that needs to be extracted at such high percentages from the hemp plant, and that you should be concerned only with how many milligrams of CBD you consume. In fact, we don't believe that more is be er, and most importantly, that star ng slow is more advisable because everybody poten ally may need a different number of milligrams to support their body and the ECS. We believe in a more whole food perspec ve. One of my favorite phrases in medicine is, "Let food be thy medicine," by Hippocrates. The idea that food is what is best for us is so crucially important to embrace. My doctoral disserta on is on whole food nutri on, so I've spent a great deal of me studying this topic. For example, if you want to nourish and keep the body healthy, you would eat an orange. You wouldn't simply just take a vitamin C pill. The same is true about hemp. We created at HempFusion™ something called the Whole Food Hemp Complex. This complex allows us to put together nutrients and cons tuents that give you not only cannabinoids like CBD, but we also include other minor cannabinoids, and terpenes, these beau ful aroma c proper es that work very similarly to cannabinoids and in fact in many cases can be seen as even stronger. One in par cular is beta-caryophyllene. Also, research has shown that when we are deficient or have an imbalanced ra o of Omega three and six fa y acids, then the ECS may not be able to work as efficiently as it could. In fact, one of the most important pieces of research is from 2015 at the Hadassah School of Medicine at the University of Jerusalem, Israel. They found that if you're taking CBD isolate or mostly CBD, then it is poten ally possible to experience what's called the Bell-Shaped Curve experience. This Bell-Shaped Curve response simply means that when taking a CBD isolate, the body may start working immediately, but decrease in effec veness rapidly. This is because the body may not u lize CBD alone as one would hope, and in fact the benefits may not be experienced for a long period of me, or even poten ally in some cases not at all. The study contrasted products that contain not only CBD but other naturally-occurring ingredients from hemp. Not only did it work for more people, but it worked for a longer period of me. So we believe in trying to harness as close to what nature intended as possible. Nothing is perfect, but ge ng as close to it as possible. At HempFusion™ we offer a wide array of different milligrams strengths in our liquids and capsules, from 5 to 10 and 20 milligram strengths. So people can adjust accordingly. Due to a lack of research right now on what milligram strengths people should use, start slow. When our company looked at all of these things contained in hemp -- cannabinoids, terpenes, omegas and even flavonoids, and as it relates to our Whole Food Hemp Complex, we came up with the tagline, "It all adds up." That means, when you look at something from a more whole food perspec ve, we believe it's going to support and nourish the body and the endocannabinoids system be er. So yes, CBD by itself is not in an equa on with an absolute answer. But when you start to look at all these different natural cons tuents and piece them together in what is o en referred to as an ensemble or "entourage effect," it just simply all adds up to be er wellness.
