Known for her witty, incisive and often acerbic portraits of
the powerful, Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist Maureen
Dowd has been a columnist on e New York Times Op-Ed
page since 1995, after having served as a correspondent in
the paper's Washington bureau for nine years. She has covered
four presidential campaigns and served as White House
correspondent. In 1992 Dowd was a Pulitzer Prize finalist for
national reporting, winning her Pulitzer seven years later.
On stage Maureen Dowd with be joined by Carl Hulse,
e Times's chief Washington correspondent and managing
editor of First Draft, a political news stream and morning
email. Together they will discuss the ups and downs of the
last 18 months in politics, including an insider take on
current DC power brokers: the politicians, advisers, lobbyists,
and other creatures that populate the news and keep our
country running. ■
