the Son shall not see life, but the wrath of God remains on him." The Psalm reads, "For great is your steadfast love toward me; you have delivered my soul from the depths of Sheol [Hell]." The Apostle Peter wrote, "The Lord is not slow to fulfill his promise as some count slowness, but is patient toward you, not wishing that any should perish, but that all should reach repentance." (2Peter 2:39) Now, what of Heaven? "What no eye has seen, nor ear heard, nor the heart of man imagined, what God has prepared for those who love him" (1Corinthians 2:9) Heaven is not nirvana. Heaven is not dream sleep. It is an actual place that has been prepared for us. It's likely not fluffy clouds and fat little cherubs playing little gold harps, for that wouldn't mean very much to you and me. To begin with, "He will wipe away every tear from [our] eyes, and death shall be no more, neither shall there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain anymore, for the former things have passed away." Revelation 21:4 ...and there is room for EVERYONE! (John 14:2) "Then the angel showed me the river of the water of life, bright as crystal, flowing from the throne of God and of the Lamb through the middle of the street of the city; also, on either side of the river, the tree of life with its twelve kinds of fruit, yielding its fruit each month. The leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations. No longer will there be anything accursed, but the throne of God and of the Lamb will be in it, and his servants will worship him. They will see his face, and his name will be on their foreheads. And night will be no more. They will need no light of lamp or sun, for the Lord God will be their light, and they will reign forever and ever." Revelation 22:1-5 Heaven is absolute paradise! (Luke 23:43) Let me close with highlights from the 21 st and 22 nd chapter of the Book of Revelation. It gives the best and most graphic description of our eternal life and home. Some of the words are likely symbolic but only because there are no words in any earthly language to adequately describe Heaven. For example, we have five known senses: Sight, Sound, Smell, Touch and Taste. But what if in heaven, now equipped with indescribable "bodies" - we have ten senses...or twenty ...or a hundred? How could any earthly writer communicate that to us. The Apostle John, writer of the Book of Revelation, does his best: I saw "a new heaven and a new earth," for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away, and there was no longer any sea. I saw the Holy City, the new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride beautifully dressed for her husband. And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, "Look! God's dwelling place is now among the people, and he will dwell with them. They will be his people, and God himself will be with them and be their God. 4 'He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death' or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away." He who was seated on the
