Your 2021 BSHDFC Board There is a partial "changing of the guard" in BSHDFC leadership this year. Steve Allmand and Dave Finney have, according to our bylaws, stepped down after two very productive terms (four years each). We owe them a great deal of respect and appreciation for their wisdom and faithfulness to this ministry over the years. In January, we will welcome Micah Orloff and Greyson Adams to the National Board. Micah Orloff is an administrator at Mt. San Jacinto College and youth pastor at Elevation Church in Southern California. He has been married for thirteen years to "the bride of my youth," Alicia Orloff. His passions in life include seeing breakthrough in the lives of those in my sphere of influence through a demonstration of the Gospel led by the Holy Spirit, whether it be the youth I shepherd, the bikers I do life with or anyone to whom the Spirit leads. Micah rides a 2015 Road Glide Special. Micah's dream for Black Sheep HDFC is that, "BSHDFC would carry with it a presence that people in the motorcycle community would recognize as safe harbor. That when they see the patch, whether they know the person bearing it or not, they would be able to come in time of need and that we, the Black Sheep, would be Spirit led in our response. I dream that when (not if) those times of despair and darkness that the world throws our way come, that we would be like first responders - ready to serve in power and authority. I dream that those called to this mission will continue to hunger and thirst after ministering to those who don't know the Father the way followers of Jesus Christ do- and that we would never grow weary of that work. I dream that God will use us as He breaks the shackles of bondage and leads those in our spheres to the abundant life. To see these dreams as reality, I believe that BSHDFC will have a presence globally, deep rooted with authentic, loving relationships with each other and the communities we serve. Guided by the Spirit and sharing truth, knowing the Father and His love for us intimately. Greyson Adams has been the Territory Sales Manager for Coca Cola for nearly twenty years. He has been married to Carrie for twenty-eight years. Greyson and Carrie have two children. Greyson currently is the community pastor at "One and All Church." Greyson writes, "My passion is to share the Gospel with all who are far from God in the hopes of bringing them closer to our Lord. My dream for BSHDFC is that we would be represented at EVERY dealership in the country and be integrated in our local HOG (and Indian) chapters and community. I pray we would be the salt and light in the motorcycle world speaking with transparency and truth, spreading the message of Christ and not religion." He continues, "I am excited for the future of this ministry and am encouraged that our board consists of members who come from various positions of leadership. This will encourage our members that they are being represented on the board and that their voices are heard in future decisions by ministry leaders. Grayson rides a 2015 Street Glide special which he quickly clarifies by saying, "It's my wife's bike! She had the winning raffle ticket!" Black Sheep is blessed to have so many people willing and qualified to step up into leadership. Every position is critical for the accomplishing of our mission: "To introduce the world of motorcycle riders to Jesus Christ, for the purpose of making more and better disciples through the ministry of the local church." Board members cast vision and give direction to the membership as well as serving as corporate officers of our 501c3. Regional Directors have a closer look and opportunity to care for and assist our Chapter Presidents who lead a localized membership of Sheep. Even the Area Contact (one to three members who have not yet formed a chapter) is critical, for from them has come every new chapter, city, state and region. Laz Alba, Jim Birmingham and Marty Edwards are the board members who will continue in 2021 along with Micah Orloff and Greyson Adams. a
