CHRIS BAQUOL began working with NE Supply in August, 2013, starting in the warehouse at Golden Ring. He soon moved out of the warehouse and spent time working in residential inside sales. From there, he was reassigned to work at the Owings Mills branch, followed by a stint at the Bel Air branch. He said, "I then spent about a year as manager of the Eldersburg branch and now I have returned to where it all started, managing the branch where I was originally hired, Golden Ring." Baquol enjoyed the extensive training that NE gives its new managers. He said, "Northeastern has been very generous in supporting my motivation to learn the business, and also learn the managerial skills required in order to be successful. A great example of their generosity is allowing me to enroll in several of the online courses o ered through ASA, which I have found to be very valuable. In addition, I am a very 'hands on' learner and the combination of being surrounded by other excellent managers that are willing to share advice and daily 'on the job training' have provided me with knowledge and experience that could not be gained by traditional classes or training." "I strongly believe that attitudes are contagious, and that positivity and teamwork among employees has a direct correlation with the customer's desire to do business with us," he said. "I am not afraid to spend time in the warehouse talking with customers and asking them questions, which I believe they really do appreciate. Along with several other younger managers, we represent the next generation of Northeastern, and together we will fi nd innovative ways with modern technology to uphold the reputation that our predecessors have worked so hard to earn." Golden Ring is a special branch and Baquol understands what that means. "Golden Ring is not only the largest branch, but we are the corporate o ce and headquarters of the entire company. This means we are fortunate enough to have in house specialists in all aspects of the industry. No matter how hard the customers try to stump us from time to time, we are always able to fi nd the right resources to provide the customer with the most accurate information possible."
