THE ULTIMATE NASCAR EXPERIENCE Honorees and 150 NE Supply customers meet the team, enjoy festivities Living the Dover Dream PHOTOS©Dean Patton Sports Photos The Ultimate NASCAR Experience is designed to honor a leading customer while supplying a behind- the-scenes look at NASCAR Xfi nity Series racing ... M aking these events both a fun and prestigious honor for recipients, Northeastern Supply has been bestowing this treatment on customers for more than 10 years—and been connected with NASCAR for 23 consecutive years. During the 10-plus years that the Ultimate NASCAR Experience program has been in play by NE, honorees have been avid race fans and casual race fans, along with some who had never seen a race before and were confessed NASCAR racing rookies. When the honorees have been avid fans, the list of benefi ts a orded them created an atmosphere of tremendous joy and satisfaction, and for Mark and Kim Snyder, such was the case during the fi rst weekend in October when they were honored with their Ultimate NASCAR Experience. "We've been race fans for 15 years or longer and have been coming to the races here at Dover (International Speedway) that long, but to have the opportunity we did on that weekend will remain with us forever," said Mark Snyder, a plumbing foreman with East Coast Electric, based in Wilmington, DE. The Snyders spent three days absorbing everything in a racing vein that was made available to them. They watched practice for the NASCAR Xfi nity Series cars on Friday afternoon and spent the better part of that afternoon chasing down drivers for autographs inside the Xfi nity Series garage. Then they had fun with their fellow Northeastern Supply customers—150 strong—who attended a cookout under Northeastern's big, white tent located just to the right of the main entrance of the race track and the Dover Downs Casino & Hotel. AN EVENT TO REMEMBER Highlighting the evening was an appearance by Elliott Sadler, driver of the #1 OneMain/Northeastern Supply Chevrolet, and a couple-dozen crew members from JR Motorsports' three race teams for Sadler and teammates Justin Allgaier and Alex Bowman. The crew members broke bread with the customers and played some corn hole while Sadler spoke to the guests and then autographed special Northeastern Supply racing T-shirts. The next day, dressed in team shirts, the Snyders watched the race, again from atop the pit box, listened to the driver and crew communications on race team headsets and watched Sadler fi nish 7th in the race, and it all concluded as what Mark and Kim termed a "dream come true". A TRADITION OF SERVICE Kim Snyder's dad, Bob Race, started East Coast Electric 45 years ago and today the company provides services to customers throughout Maryland and Delaware and in parts of Pennsylvania. They purchase their goods from Northeastern Supply's Dover, Georgetown, Wilmington (DE), and Elkton (MD) branches and the experiences have been as good as the NASCAR project. "They (Northeastern Supply) always have what we need and they always match prices. The biggest plus is that they always stock the equipment we use on a regular basis, so even if we didn't need a certain product for an extended period of time, we know that it will still be there when we need it," Mark stated. Expressing his appreciation further, Mark concluded, "We saw things the average race fan hasn't a clue about and the Experience enhanced our enthusiasm and really made the excitement level go up. It was an amazing experience that we have Northeastern Supply to thank for, and all this does is strengthen our business relationship with the company."
