Our Ventura County BFC Chapter put on their 23rd Annual El Rio School Toy Run. We'd like to thank our BFC Elder Dennis Yohman for all of his hard work in hosting this amazing outreach for so many years. El Rio School is made up today of approximately 500 under privileged children, and dozens of teaching staff. This day the pack rolled in with approximately 100 motorcycles. The riders including dozens of BFC members, other M/M's, and M/C's who all gathered to minister to the little ones. And with the abundance of support, we were able to bless the children with two toys each. It's an incredible event. My favorite part was getting to interact with the children and their teachers. Many of the kids made hand drawn "Thank You" cards for the bikers. It was so touching to receive them. We also got to watch the kids choose their toys from the hundreds of toys tables inside the cafeteria. The looks of excitement, and joy in their faces was well worth the 300-mile round trip! That afternoon we also shared a fellowship meal together at a local restaurant before heading for home. What a blessed event! On a very brisk Christmas Day 2023, BFC M/M also had the honor of helping put on the "San Diego Christmas with Kids Toy Run". This rally had been taking place for the last 45+ years. It was started by Mr. Frank King – who would take used bicycles, repaint them (if needed), put new tires on them, oil the chains, etc. to give them to neighborhood kids on Christmas day. Many years later the bikers (100 members of Various M/C's and BFC M/M) and their friends purchased over 100 new bicycles, and hundreds of toys to bless the neighborhood kids. The children and their families came out, and escorts started a long line to begin receiving the gifts! The team that gathered led the kids, and their families to the trailer to get a few gifts that were age appropriate. It was beautiful to see the parents and their children coming to meet Santa Claus (a Boozefighters M/C Member and his wife 14 | WheelsOfGrace.com | #72
