Missed Opportunities Laz Alba, BSHDFC International President A few weeks ago, I had the privilege of attending the long anticipated "Gem State BSHDFC Rally" in Meridian, Idaho. What a huge success it was with more than a hundred plus Black Sheep and HOG members attending the three-day event! Thank-you to Pastor Tony and staff from Legacy Church for allowing us to invade their church for a Friday Night fellowship and worship! Thank you to Greg Diamanti (Central Coast, CA BSHDFC) for sharing your powerful testimony which is always amazing! (Greg is a walking testimony of God's grace and mercy!) May Jesus grow the seeds that were sown on that night. And thank you to the High Desert H-D for allowing us to host our Saturday bike show/event at their beautiful dealership! Thanks to all of the Black Sheep that came from CA, WA, OR, ID, NY, and PA (Pennsylvania!!?) to partake of this rally! You guys' rock! Lastly, a huge THANK YOU to our Treasure Valley BSHDFC chapter and everyone who helped put this event together! You all did a fantastic job! While at this rally, I received a private Facebook message that I wanted to share with you now. It is a reminder that what we do matters. We must always be ready and willing to minister at a minute's notice. We must be watchful for divine opportunities and appointments. We never know the impact a few minutes of prayer can make. Check this out... "I'm the UPS guy that delivers just north of Nevada off HWY 95. There was a chapter of Black Sheep stopped at a store and I saw them trying to take a selfie. I offered to snap the photo for them. After taking the picture, they asked if there was any prayer I needed and I asked for prayers for my father-in-law Ron. I was expecting them to say they would pray for him, and we would be on our separate ways. But instead they wrapped their arms around me and prayed right there and then! That meant a lot to me, my wife, and her dad. He is sick and the nurse just told my wife today that dad is dying but when she told him a biker club was praying for him, he said "Huh" with a big smile. (Not getting many smiles these days!) I wanted to send a thank you to all the Black Sheep Harley- Davidsons for Christ for spreading His love." To the BSHDFC members from our Desert Edge, CA and Inland Empire, CA chapters that took time to pray for this UPS driver while on their way to the Gem State Rally, thank you! Thank you for being bold, spiritually minded, and for representing our ministry (and more importantly our Lord Jesus Christ) so well! I'm so humbled and fortunate to serve as your International President. You are an amazing, Spirit filled group of people and it is an honor for me to serve in this wonderful organization alongside all of you. Keep up the great work and let's remember to always keep the main thing, the main thing. All for His glory! a
