Motorcycle Finds Its Way Home San Antonio Black Sheep Last month the Texas Alamo Black sheep held a bike blessing at Alamo HD in San Antonio. A gentleman showed up (red circle below) who had purchased a customized Softail at an estate sale eight years ago. After bringing it home, he found a clipping of a picture in the side saddlebag along with some bibles and miscellaneous scripture articles. He then noticed a bike blessing invitation and on it there was a Black Sheep HDFC logo. He then brought the bike over to the Alamo chapter and asked for them bless his new/old bike. As it turns out, this bike was owned by Duane Wilhite, the founding member of BSHDFC San Antonio - or as Duane used to call it with a deep Texas growl, "San Tone." Duane passed away several year ago, and is deeply missed, but his faithful steed found its way back home. The new owner kept the Softail original and rides it with pride ! a ¡Black Sheep's new website should be ready in a couple of months. This new website will be 1. more user friendly, 2. more interactive and 3. easier for our chapter leaders and area contacts to update info on their pages. ¡We have a new membership platform/application being developed. This new platform will assist the international office with better record/roster keeping. One of the many nice features of the new platform is the ability for regional and local chapter leadership to access regional chapter rosters and to send notifications as needed. ¡A new committee is being established to develop a "chaplain's curriculum" - more information to come. ¡A new committee is being established to review and update our mentorship program - more information to come. ¡"Classic Easyriders Magazine" is interested in writing an article on BSHDFC. This is a great opportunity to introduce our ministry and reach a large number of motorcyclists.
