Big Success at Big Bike Weekend Todd & Linda Carter / Redding CA We have been learning first- hand what it means to be 'Area Reps' and the only Black Sheep members for a hundred miles. In the twelve plus years since we joined BSHDFC, we have always been part of a chapter, but for the last year and a half, we have been making inroads within our HOG chapter and getting to know the local motorcycle community here in Redding, CA. We felt like we were ready to do our first 'Black Sheep' event with this year's annual "Big Bike Weekend" and we prepared and determined to do it alone if necessary. When Todd mentioned it to Laz Alba, he spread the word and we were amazed and blessed by the awesome show of fellow Black Sheep at the event! There were eight different chapters represented at our booth! Amazing! We met so many local riders, prayed for some people and had a half dozen sign up for more information. Thank you Jesus! We are so thankful and honored by the sacrifice all the Sheep made in coming to Redding to support us, and for those who prayed for the event! We can't thank the national office enough for generating interest and sending the mobile store - it made a huge impression on the Redding crowd, and now we feel poised for growth! One of our HOG officers connected us with someone who can make us a metal boot shine chair. He happens to be a Christian HD rider that is willing to do the work as a donation. God is Good! Honestly, we were starting to feel a bit isolated and lonely up here, but the boost of encouragement we got from our Black Sheep family will carry us way into the future! We love being part of this ministry! Does anybody remember Crazy Louie? We do! He was an area rep in Redding for a long time before God took him home. It like he's right here with us enjoying the camaraderie! We are picking up your banner Louie, and we'll catch up with you later! a
