The farm mo o, "Cul va ng Health through Organic Gardening" is clearly just a con nuum of that same thought and legacy they are leaving in our community. The farm educates hundreds of young people each season through internships, workshops, field trips and special events. However, our favorite group seems to be the various interns that have chosen to volunteer at the farm in pursuit of either bright futures credit for any state school and college interns that volunteer and learn, as part of a specific degree or curriculum that they are pursuing. We are currently looking for funding to renovate our two-bedroom bungalow over the garage for interns to live while doing their internship. We love hos ng field trips for school, homeschool and civic groups each spring and fall. The groups range all the way from pre-school to high school students and each year we serve several hundred students. The events generally include a tour of the farm, outdoor workshops about growing organic food, hayrides, games and healthy snacks. If you are like me, you take your "giving" seriously and want your tax-deduc ble gi s to ma er! We believe our mission of educa ng the next genera on about the importance of healthy, organic food is a noble pursuit. Please consider visi ng our website www.abbysfarm.org and making your secure tax-deduc ble dona on so we can con nue to make a difference in our community. If you would like more informa on or would like to meet in person to make a dona on, please contact me at the informa on below.
