ISTA's technical community had a productive 2017 with many changes implemented to ISTA test protocols as well as kicking off several initiatives that will look to be completed in 2018. ISTA leveraged its consensus body approach to ensure that the protocol changes incorporate diverse input and reinforce its commitment to transparency. Below is an overview of ISTA's consensus body process. This list also identifies whether the change was Technical or Editorial in nature as well as provides a brief explanation of what change occurred. As always, the most current versions of ISTA test procedures and projects can be found on ISTA's website. Please keep in mind that when a technical change occurs, ISTA will accept testing that was done according to the last published version for 12 months (one year) after the technical change was published. Once this one-year grace period expires, testing done to the previously published version will no longer be accepted. Additionally, this acceptance of old test results only applies to the version date immediately preceding the most current technical published version date and does not apply to other older version dates.
