8 | WheelsOfGrace.com | #61 programmer available? If so, where? I've seen Cobra's site, but the new model does not fit 2002 bikes. Any help or advice would be great. Follow up: Thank you for your response. I ordered a Power Commander V. I have an air cleaner that looks a lot like an Arlen Ness Big Sucker to go with my Cobra Neighbor Hater slip-ons. Can you recommend a map for my Road King, or should I contact Dynojet for specific help with this? Yes, you will need a tuner. We suggest a Dynojet Power Commander V for your year and model. Map #15-27-006 should work fine. It is for slip-on mufflers, high flow air cleaner assembly, and a stock ECM. If any decel pop exists, add 10% more fuel at 0% throttle for fuel tables, or you can email DynoJet with your bike's specifications. They will email you a map typically within 24 hours. Good luck with everything! I have an engine miss at a constant load between 2100-2300 rpm, whether I am holding the throttle or using cruise control. I am planning on taking it to the HD dealer, but your website is so useful I wanted to check with you! My other question is, is there a sensor that cuts a cylinder out at idle if the engine starts getting too hot? Need to consider what you have for an air cleaner assembly and whether you are using a tuner. If you are using a Power Commander, Vance & Hines FuelPak, or Cobra FI2000, we would suggest looking into making an adjustment. Also, consider checking for trouble codes. I have a 1980 FLH that has been running great until it was parked for two weeks—when I took it out, I could hardly shift it. I had to force it in gear when up- shifting. Down-shifting seemed to be easier, but sometimes when I put it in first gear and start to take off, it would pop into neutral. It has done this a few times now. I have not ridden the bike since I got back from that first day It happened. I have been to two Harley shops and a few other bike shops here in Tucson, and I am getting five different answers and opinions. I came across your site and thought I would ask for yours. I believe it may be the throw bearing, which also may be original as I have had the bike for nine years. I talked to the guy I got the bike from, and he said he has not changed the bearing. However, in going around your site and reading some of the posts, I am wondering if it may be the shifter pawl. Any advice or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, and enjoy your day. If your throw out bearing is bad, you will typically feel it when you grab your clutch lever. It will feel rough. If your shift pawl assembly spring is broken, the shift lever will not return on its own. Best way to begin diagnosing this would be to lift your rear wheel (m/c not running) and try shifting through the gears. If any of your shift linkage could be in question, disconnect it and continue trying to shift as you look/listen/feel for what may be the culprit. I have a 2002 Road King Police edition with fuel injection. I changed the slip-on mufflers and have been looking at an air cleaner to help the bike breathe better. I've been reading that changing the air cleaner is going to lean the bike out causing it to backfire and run a lot hotter. I've been watching your videos and have learned a lot—thank you. I've seen a programmer that you installed to fix that. Is that TECH Q&A By Fix My HOG
