In an effort to increase and broaden our leadership team, BSHDFC has added two new board members from two Eastern States. (Alaska is "east" so long as one just keeps moving...well, EAST!) We welcome Richard Preston from Pennsylvania and Grant Jones from Alaska! Both have been solid BSHDFC members (aka 100&% WOOL) and avid riders, but we'll let them introduce themselves below. Richard Preston (Pennsylvania) Hello fellow sheep, my name is Richard Preston and along with my wife Liz, we live in Lititz, Pennsylvania. We have four grown children (34, 32, 31 and 30) along with three beautiful grandchildren! I worked for Hewlett Packard for 35 years before starting my own consulting company that continued my travels around the world implementing manufacturing and distribution control systems. As of April 30 th I will be starting a new career, better known as RETIREMENT! Instead of traveling around the world on business, I hope to travel more as a tourist. I have been attending church for as long as I can remember and have attended various denominations, but now attend Lancaster Evangelical Free Church. I feel my life in Christ was changed the day Liz and I met Marty Edwards and Jim Birmingham at a gas station in Utah. Liz and I were on a cross country motorcycle trip and Marty and Jim were returning from Sturgis. I feel it was a divine appointment that put us together that day. Liz and I had been asking for guidance on how to use these motorcycles to share the love and grace that God had given us. Leaving the gas station that day we knew we had our assignment! This ministry has given me confidence to share my faith and the blessings God has bestowed on me for no other reason than His love for me. This ministry has given me the focus of sharing Christ with people who have a similar interest in motorcycling. I was in a bad motorcycle accident in 2019 on my way to serve at our dealership. God brought me through that and I know that he has more for me to do through this ministry! I look forward to the challenges and opportunities that he brings before me. May I continue to ride for His Glory! Ò Grant Jones (Alaska) Hi! I am Grant Jones (aka "Knucklehead") and I am the Regional Director for Alaska. I am pleased to have been asked to join our national board. As a frequent attender of Bible camps as a child, I was "saved" every year for most of my middle school career, but it wasn't until 2010 that God showed me the difference between knowing about God and being in a true relationship with him. Once that relationship was established, God began to work! One day, I finally understood why God had given me a passion for Harleys, and I began to experience the joy of riding with a purpose. Shortly after joining Black Sheep, I was asked to join the Elder Board of my home church and in 2017 was ordained and installed as an associate pastor. Today, I serve as Executive Pastor of the Baxter Road Bible Church in Anchorage. In 1990, I met Araceli "Sally" Rivera in Sumter, S.C., where we were both assigned as active duty Air Force enlisted. We married in 1992, and now have two children; a daughter Harleigh and a son, Grant Jr. Sally and I ride a 2018 Anniversary Street Glide, which we hope to put many miles on over the coming years as we continue to seek God's will for the future. Ò "A great leader's courage to fulfill his vision comes from passion, not position...Leadership is not about titles, positions or flowcharts. It is about one life influencing another." John C. Maxwell
