The Wonderful Women of BSHDFC Black Sheep is not a "man's club." We often say, "Ewe too can join Black Sheep!" Some of the ladies ride their own motorcycles while some are great passengers, but every one of them is deeply loved, honored and respected by our membership . They are an integral part of our ministry organization and w e would not be the same without them! The women of Black Sheep do not wear a different or smaller patch than the men, for they are equal members in every way . The women of Black Sheep can hold any office: chapter president, vice - president, secretary , treasurer, or road captain. They have served as members of our corporate board as well. The only exception to this rule is not of our making ; a woman cannot hold the office of Regional Director. Why? Because our regional directors oversee multiple chapte rs or even states. RD's are often called upon to communicate with local MC's, many of whom will not receive or respect a female. We love our female counterparts too much to expose them to that situation. For those in the Christian faith, Galatians 3:26 - 28 reads, " ...in Christ Jesus you are all children of God through faith, for all of you who were baptized into Christ have clothed yourselves with Christ. There is neither Jew nor Gentile, neither slave nor free, nor is there male and female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus. " In fact, without our female members, we would only be half equipped, half - prepared and half as effective as we are . Women bring a whole other dimension to the church – and to this motorcycle ministry. God bless'em! Whether she is a beautiful creature riding her own iron horse or that warm encouraging hug on the back of a bike, Black Sheep loves their ladies! Thank - you for all that you do! You are a gift of God to the church and we thank Him for you. Remember to tell your friends, "Ewe too can join Black Sheep...and be loved honored and respected."
