The Challenge Continues Christians will read books on prayer, go to prayer seminars and post memes on social media that say things like "God Answers Knee Mail." What most Christians will admit, however, is that they don't spend much time actually praying. "I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing ." It's time to put up or shut up! Marty Edwards has challenged every chapter and every area contact to carve out a time ( 60 or even 30 minutes) once a week or even once a month for a solid time of praying FOR THE EFFECTIVENESS OF THIS MINISTRY. As an area contact, pray for partners in ministry. As a chapter pray for effectiveness in ministry and unity among your member s . We can all be praying for "more." MORE people to come to Christ for salvation , MORE mature, godly members, to be in MORE dealerships in MORE states and MORE countries. Pray earnestly for the continued safety of our members as they ride. Pray for our marriages and famil ies . Pray for your local, regional and national officers. Pray for the sick and injured riders that you know. Are you serious about ministry? NOTHING could possibly be more important than prayer! We have no greater tool or strategy! If we only pray when we're in trouble, we're in trouble. So let's pray! We know the faces and some of the names but don't often see other HOG members in between events. Some HOG members would likely come to a BSHDFC breakfast or ride or other event if they were kept in the loop. Go deeper with you r HOG frie nds by inviting them to share their email in order to receive monthly invitations to rides or events and to receive THIS MAGAZINE. If you do develop an email list, keep your emails BRIEF and ONCE A MONTH – and promise to NEVER share the list with others.
