Then my supervisor got a call. It was me, calling from the ER. I had been in an accident. My motorcycle was totaled, but I was fine. (The ER doctor who examined me and my mul ple x-rays was stunned; a er being thrown so high and hi ng the ground so hard, I didn't even have a bone fracture!) When Donna heard the news, she almost fell backward in her chair. "That's why your name was so heavy on my heart this morning!" And when I found out that a faithful believer was praying for me the moment my life was in serious danger, I knew why my bike was scrap metal and I was like new! This past week marks 20 years since that remarkable day. That morning I received more than a second chance: I got an unforge able reminder what it means to be a Chris an. When His children put aside their own worries to care for the needs of others, God shows up, some mes in the most miraculous way! Thank you Jesus! Editor's Note: I met Richard while a ending the Northwest Zone Rally in Wenatchee. He was "just a guy" in the parking lot of a local diner, but his story intrigued me and I asked if he would send it to me. I gave him my card and a few weeks later it arrived.
