Abby's Magazine - July/August 2015 | Page 5 Dear Roberta, My clients have great results using "Myomin." Myomin helps to balance out high testosterone, which causes acne in teen boys. Also, cleaning the skin morning and night with a tea tree cleanser followed by "Aloe Skin Gel" works wonders! It is important that your son has regular, good bowel movements daily and consumes sufficient water (1/2 his body weight in ounces per day). Sincerely, Abby Dear Abby, I have had patches of hyperpigmentation on my face for many years and they are gradually increasing. I have very sensitive skin. The dermatologist prescribed 5% hydroquinone and, much as I hate using this, it is the only thing that keeps the pigmentation from getting really bad, even though I cannot get rid of it. I am Indian, 61-years-old and my mother also suffered from hyperpigmentation. Due to my sensitive skin, there are very few products I can apply to my face. Most just irritate or make the pigmentation darker. What would you recommend? Malati Dear Malati, Hyperpigmentation is caused by an imbalance in your hormones. Taking "Myomin" will begin the process of balancing your various estrogen hormones. The excess pigmentation will decrease over time. Be patient and stay on Myomin – 3 capsules with 2 meals – until all hyperpigmentation is gone. Sincerely, Abby various estrogen hormones. "Myomin" will help your estrogens balance out and help with excessive fat around the mid-section. Excess fat produces inflammatory agents! Also, if you have GI symptoms, the resulting inflammation in the gut may transfer to all of the weak areas of your body worsening muscle and joint pain. I recommend a GI protocol to repair the gut if you are symptomatic. Sincerely, Abby Dear Abby, I am a 28-year-old male living in Kenya. My knees have produced a cracking sound for five years and are painless. I have been tested for uric acid, rheumatoid arthritis, and they've taken x-rays, which were negative. But I have blurry eyes, pimples on my face, re- occurring constipation and I'm fatigued. I have been taking de-wormers for 3 months and the situation stresses me. Please help me. Woody Dear Woody, Reactive arthritis is common where there are pandemic parasitic infections. Have you had a stool analysis? I would recommend taking a good probiotic and check with a GI doctor to rule out gastrointestinal issues. Sincerely, Abby Dear Abby, My 16-year-old son has acne and we are hoping to treat it without antibiotics, which our dermatologist recommends. I was wondering what would be the best protocol with the best results? Roberta Dear Abby, I recently had an endoscopy that showed I had H. pylori and gastritis. The pylori was eradicated with antibiotics, but the gastritis remains. My doctor recommended "Protonix," but I want to avoid long-term prescription meds. Can you recommend something else that may get to the crux of the problem with gastritis? I am cutting back on acidic and fatty foods, some citrus, fruits, no coffee, etc. Carol Dear Carol, Many of my clients have used "Digestron" by Dr. Chi with great success. Digestron re-establishes the protective layer of the stomach lining as well as reducing excessive acid. I highly recommend that you restrain from consuming liquids during intake of solid food and for two hours after completion of your meals. This has a lifelong benefit. Sincerely, Abby Dear Abby, I am 54 and haven't had a period for about a year. So I would like to know if severe muscle aches and pains, stiffness, etc. go with menopause and what will help. When I first get up from sitting, I hurt with every little step I take. It will get a little better but I still have pain in my back, hips, and legs. And sometimes I feel pretty good and wonder where it went and then it comes back with a vengeance. What could this be? If it is related to menopause, what regimen could I get on that would ease this? Elisa Dear Elisa, It is not unusual to have arthralgia increase during menopause. This may be caused by an increase in blood viscosity due to imbalances in your ASK Abby ASK Abby Abby offers Free Consultations - Please call (813) 996-6999 Monday - Friday from 10 am - Noon to make your appointment Do you have a question for Abby?
