ADAM, or Androgen Decline in Aging Males, also known as andropause is a condition in older men resulting from a decrease in testosterone. Andropause does not happen to every man, but if it does, it is not a sudden condition. It comes on gradually, is fairly common and chances of getting it increase with age. Male testosterone levels drop about 10% every 10 years, starting at about age 30. Simultaneously, Sex Hormone Binding Globulin (SHBG) increases attaching to testosterone in circulation rendering it inactive. As men age and put on more belly fat, aromatase increases converting testosterone as well as DHEA into estrogens. (See diagram page 7). DHEA may already be low due to adrenal fatigue resulting from stress. Testosterone hyperaromatization is often accompanied by insulin resistance and diabetes. How to help ADAM Myomin, an aromatase reducer, is a safe and effective way to correct hyperaromatization. It reduces belly fat and raises testosterone. Diet, exercise and supplementation to eliminate insulin resistance is best to not only eliminate any chance of type 2 diabetes, but to drastically slow or eliminate insulin- resistance associated testosterone (and DHEA) hyperaromatization. • Endometriosis is a women's health condition in which cells from the lining of the uterus (endometrium) appear and flourish outside the uterine cavity. • Endometrial cells have been known to implant on the ovaries, fallopian tubes, bowel, bladder, and peritoneum (lining of the body cavity). • Symptoms of endometriosis include: severe pelvic pain, painful menstruation, painful intercourse and infertility. It can be detected by ultrasound or laparoscopy. • Risk factors for endometriosis include: imbalanced estrogen levels, candidiasis, use of an IUD (Intra Uterine Device), high intake of bad fats, and family history. • Natural approach to endometriosis balances estrogens, reduces overgrowth of candida, enhances detoxification with subsequent removal of symptoms. Treatment of Endometriosis • The herbs in Myomin reduce aromatase and have proven effective for improving endometriosis. By reducing aromatase expression, Myomin is able to inhibit excess estrone (E1) and estradiol (E2) (which increase tissue growth) while estriol (E3), the good estrogen is kept at optimal levels. • A health promoting diet, high in organic vegetables and fruits, high in fiber (flaxseed meal, chia and hemp seeds), low in bad fats, meat, dairy, sugar, caffeine and alcohol. • Follow the candida control diet by eliminating refined and simple sugars. Eliminate milk and all dairy products. Eliminate foods with a high content of yeast or mold, including alcohol, cheese, dried fruits and peanuts. Take a quality multivitamin, omega-3 supplement, and vitamin D3. Get plenty of rest and quality sleep and stay hydrated. What is Endometriosis?
