HOMECOMING COURT I am a 14 year old freshman, and this is my fourth year at Lin eld! I love chee- ring on the Varsity Cheer Team because my teammates are some of the most amazing girls I know. My hobbies are dancing, cheerleading, singing and baking. I also enjoy doing volunteer work at my church's food pantry and at the animal shelter, and my family's newest passion is raising cancer awa- reness. My favorite verse is Proverbs 3:5-6. This verse acts as a reminder that when you are discouraged, you need to trust in God because He will always make things work out. My role model is my dad. He just nished chemothe- rapy after ghting stage three colon cancer this last year, and his strength, faith, and lively personality got our family through this di cult challenge. I admire all who are ghting and sur- viving cancer because they are so brave. .: SAMANTHA SPARKENBACH .: CHARLIE RUSSELL I am a 15 year old freshman who has been attending Lin eld for almost my entire life. Outside of school I play several instruments, including piano, guitar, trumpet, and clarinet. I love music in general. I also enjoy theatre (both watching and being in productions), studying, playing chess, and reading, especially ctional novels. I do frequent volunteer work at church, including holiday events, youth counseling, and helping to run services. My favorite verse is Hebrews 11:3: "By faith we understand the universe was created by the word of God, so that what is seen was not made out of things that are visible." I love science, physics in particular, and this verse solidi es my faith and reminds me where we all come from, through God's creation. My role model is Bug Lee because he gives all of his time and e ort to Lin eld without being recognized. I want that kind of humility. FRESHMEN
