In This Issue It happens to even the sharpest of us. We forget where we put our keys or our glasses. Sometimes, and for some inexplicable reason, we may momentarily forget the name of a friend or coworker. These and other memory lapses happen to all of us at one time or another. Unfortunately, as we age, memory and brain function often diminish. There are a number of factors involved. These factors include brain injury, diminished circulation, atherosclerosis, free radical damage caused by exposure to chemicals, heavy metals, and other toxins, poor nutrition and genetics. Most of these factors can be positively influenced by proper nutrition, particularly the use of supplements, which can fight degenerative brain dysfunction and dementia, and improve normal brain function and memory retention.
