arm perpendicular to the floor. Rotate your right leg and hip over to the left side. Keep your right shoulder on the floor. Hold for five more breaths and switch sides. Let's talk about how yoga can also improve a golfer's SLEEP along with flexibility among a host of other benefits There has been a significant amount of research on how restorative yoga benefits sleep. When we sleep our body is in a natural state of healing. The practice of restorative yoga before bedtime allows our body and energy to slow down and prepare for sleep. This pose is a natural release for the lumbar spine and passively stretches the hamstrings. Relax in this pose, focus on long, deep breaths in and out through the nose or you can simply rest. Hold for three minutes and crawl into bed for a more restful sleep. To learn more about golf and yoga, become a Certified Yoga for Golfers Instructor.
