ALL IN | AD Today 2019 | 71 CLARKDIETRICH BUILDING SYSTEMS: "GIVING IS IN OUR DNA" According to Brian Panuccio, Director of Sales for ClarkDietrich Building Systems, a West Chester, OH-based company and winner of the 2018 AD Gypsum Supply Giving Back Award, "our employees support a host of both local and national charitable causes ranging from regional food and toy drives to building houses, saving animals, and more. We've also been fortunate enough to team up with our customers' philanthropic efforts through volunteering and financial donations." Panuccio said that supporting the local communities they operate in is part of his company's lineage and DNA. "The competitive advantage of any company is its people and we're blessed to have a remarkable group of employees at ClarkDietrich," he said. "We want to support our folks in assisting the communities they call home." When it comes to selecting the causes or charities it supports, ClarkDietrich relies on the expertise of its team members. "Similar to the way in which we operate our company, we believe that the people closest to the market know what's needed to be successful, and we feel that it's our corporate responsibility to support them," Panuccio explained. "We also believe that community support is personal. Our employees know how they can make the greatest impact in their communities and may organize a group or participate individually for a local cause." ClarkDietrich also goes above and beyond to make it easy and fun for employees to give back. "Living a Balanced Life is one of our company values and, to assist in fulfilling this value, we created a program entitled ClarkDietrich Cares," shared Panuccio. This corporate initiative provides every employee with one paid day per year during which they can donate their time to a cause of their choice. "To assist with the coordination," he said, "company organizers for the local work teams make the events fun and inclusive by handling scheduling and support, which can include food, drinks, and transportation." continued on page 73 ClarkDietrich associates volunteer at Habitat for Humanity The ClarkDietrich collects 1,665 lbs of food at the Vienna Plant Food Collection ALL IN TO MAKE A DIFFERENCE: ALL IN FOR THE COMMUNITY
