PACE SUPPLY CORP.: FEELING AD'S CARE AND CONCERN Ted Green, President of PACE Supply Corp. in Rohnert Park, CA, will never forget the October 2017 fires that blew into North Santa Rosa fueled by 60 mph winds. "Police were driving up and down streets with bullhorns notifying people to evacuate their homes immediately. People literally had minutes to leave as the fires jumped from one rooftop to the next," Green said. "By sun up, some 5,000 area homes were burned completely away, leaving nothing but concrete foundations. Everything owned by these people was gone in a matter of minutes." Though thankfully none of the PACE Supply team members had been physically hurt, "three of our employees lost their homes and everything they owned," said Green, whose company lost an 8,000 square-foot showroom in the fires but moved its showroom sales staff over to another location in order to continue to serve customers. "The AD Disaster Relief Foundation was a true godsend to our employees affected by this event because it gave us the ability to get actual money into their hands so that they could buy the basics needed. As time went on, it also helped them purchase clothing and have cash for deposits on rentals," he said. According to Green, the emotional reaction by team members receiving these funds was truly overwhelming to experience. "Once we were able to communicate to our employees, vendors, and reps that this fund existed, it was humbling to watch as people made donations into the fund and directed the monies to our family members," he said. "When they'd call and ask how they could help, we now had an answer for them, one that significantly improved an otherwise terrible event." Green recommends that any AD members involved in a disaster situation immediately reach out to AD and work with them to set up a fund. "I'm so proud that AD was there to help our family members Before After A PACE Supply employee's home before and after the California wildfires in October 2017.
