DOOLEY TACKABERRY, INC.: BLESSED BY GRANTS According to Chris Dooley, President & CEO of Dooley Tackaberry, Inc. in Deer Park, TX, "we had employees in both our Deer Park and Clute locations that suffered devastating losses, from vehicle loss to complete loss of home and property, and several employees were physically displaced for months. We have two employees that were granted assistance from the AD Disaster Relief Foundation. Both of these employees didn't have flood insurance on their homes and the Foundation was able to provide some assistance with the financial burden their families were facing. From water removal and clean-up immediately after the hurricane to coverage of supplies and temporary housing expenses, the grants that were received by our employees were complete blessings." Dooley Tackaberry Customer Service Manager Tesha Kattner, a recipient of funds from the AD Disaster Relief Foundation, was left with up to a foot of water in her house following Hurricane Harvey's torrential rains. "It was just enough water to damage the whole downstairs and we had to replace all of our flooring, doors, kitchen cabinets, and two feet of sheet rock throughout," she shared. "Luckily, the only appliance lost was the dishwasher, as everything else was raised on blocks or tables." As of May 2018, Kattner and her husband were completing their damage repairs and couldn't be more thankful for the support they received through AD. The funds they received from the AD Disaster Relief Foundation "allowed us to place money back into our 401K, which we had to borrow from to make repairs," she said. Flooding damaged the home of a Dooley Tackaberry employee following Hurricane Harvey.
