Two popular training programs, Certified Packaging Laboratory Professional (CPLP) and Responsible Packaging by Design (RPbD) were held prior to the start of the Forum. Both Technician and Technologist CPLP levels were offered along with a new exam that allowed participants to achieve RPbD professional certification. Larry Dull, ISTA's Lead Instructor conducted all the training sessions and over 30 new certificates were earned. Thank you to all of our attendees, sponsors, speakers and exhibitors for coming together to network and learn. It was a great success! We are pleased to announce that we will be hosting the 2018 TransPack Forum in San Diego, CA at the Marriott Marquis San Diego Marina, March 20-23, 2018. Mark your calendars and we hope that you will be able to join us for another great Forum! 3 ista views • July 2017 • www.ista.org Dave LeButt of Georgia-Pacific, a friend and mentor to many in the packaging industry and a long-time ISTA member and officer, passed away suddenly in 1999.
