10 ista views • December 2016 • www.ista.org A Successful 11th Annual ISTA China Packaging Symposium ISTA's 11th annual China Packaging Symposium was held October 18-20 in Tianjin, China. The event was hosted by ISTA and ISTA-China and presented by China Packaging Research & Test Centre (CPRTC). The first day saw a very well attended ISTA Certified Packaging Laboratory Professional Technician level workshop. Over the remaining three days, fifteen international speakers delivered informative presentations and case studies to symposium attendees. Symposium attendees and guests enjoyed a Tianjin Cultural Boat Tour and the program concluded with an official dinner on the final evening. ISTA Participates in Largest Ever PACK EXPO International ISTA exhibited at PACK EXPO International the first week of November at the McCormick Place in Chicago. The packaging show producer PMMI, reported that PACK EXPO International and Pharma EXPO 2016 was the largest show in the history of PACK EXPO. A record breaking 2,512 exhibitors spread over an unprecedented 1.25 million net square feet of exhibit space welcomed 46,000 targeted buyers. ISTA's booth was in a great location within the Association Pavilion that provided us with increased visibility. We enjoyed seeing many familiar faces as well as meeting a lot of new people interested in how ISTA can help them with their transport packaging needs.
