Already a perennial concern, security is becoming even more
important to IT departments in light of increasingly damaging
cyberattacks. The recent Internet outage resulting from a
distributed denial-of-service (DDoS) attack woke many up to
the potential havoc that connected devices can wreak on public
networks. Unfortunately, the current situation indicates that
conditions may worsen before they improve.
