Rob The Shark: Riding a motorcycle is therapy. We all have our daily stress. When I get on that bike, everything stops. It's the moment, it's the wind, it's the feeling, it's the process… Why pay money for a therapist when you can ride? That's the number one therapy; at least in my opinion. Rob The Shark: Don't worry about that, that's what we're here for. You don't have to have medical coverage or medical insurance when you have the right attorney. An attorney who cares about you, will set you up with the right doctors. If your leg is broken you will see the orthopedic doctor that's going to help you with that; if you have a concussion or headaches and stomach aches, we will set you up with a neurologist who's going to take care of you. If you have a real bad case of road rash and will need plastic surgery, we will set you up with the best plastic surgeon out there. Don't worry about if you have health insurance or not. Of course, it is a good thing to have before the accident, but if you don't have it, give us a call and we'll handle your case. Hollywood Dave: How can bikers make sure that they are completely protected by their insurance policy? Rob The Shark: Most important thing is liability. California and many other states re- quire liability. Without liability, you will get your license suspended. That's a basic fact. Com- prehensive and collision is important as well. God, forbid you go down, and it's your fault, or someone hits you and does not have insur- ance you will be stuck. Comprehensive and collision will allow you to get your motorcycle repaired. All paid for. The most important thing that is underrated and nobody preaches on is the uninsured/underinsured motorist cover- age. It's not just about your bike it's about you. If you go down, or the other party doesn't have insurance, or they carry the bare min- imum like $15,000 in liability coverage, you find yourself in the hospital with broken bones and your case is worth hundreds of thousands of dollars. Without uninsured/underinsured coverage, you got noth- ing. Contact your insurance agent and get the highest amount. You want to cover emotional distress, pain and suffering, it's not just about your medical bills. With uninsured/underinsured you will have a case against the other party. Again, I don't want to sound like a broken record but uninsured/underinsured motorist and obviously there are other little coverages that will benefit you. So, ask your insurance agent about them. Rob The Shark: Love that question! We always must prove who's at fault. We must show that someone was negligent. What caused the road conditions to be dangerous? Was it the rain from the night before? Was it the county workers that forgot to cover it? That's why we step in and identify and find out what was wrong with the road condition. How did it become dangerous? So, once we can identify the party at fault, we put a game plan together. And rest assured, if the party was responsible for causing that dangerous road condition and you go down because of it and get injured, we will be going after them. It's very simple.
