12 | WheelsOfGrace.com | #55 In 2009, a couple of months before I was discharged from prison, I picked up a copy of Wheels of Grace from the chapel. The bikes on the cover caught my eye, but the testimonies inside caught my heart. I had been out of the wind for a long time, terribly addicted to drugs and the needle. My addictions led me to joblessness and homelessness, and prison. While I was incarcerated, I attended Celebrate Recovery Inside and worked the 12 steps program. I started attending chapel, reading the Bible and seeking G-D'S face. But, I wasn't sure that He could ever use someone like me, after all that I had done. But, that night, I read Wheels Of Grace, cover to cover, and I prayed: "L-RD, I don't know if there's another bike in my future, but if there is, I will ride for You till the wheels come off!" A few months later, I was discharged to a sober living home called Wings of Freedom. That night at church, there were members of Bikers For Christ motorcycle ministry there, along with a 1%er who was sharing his testimony. As I sat and listened, I felt that the L-RD was calling me into the motorcycle ministry. A little over a year later, I bought a bike, a 1978 Honda GL1000. It was old and not too pretty, but I was back in the wind. The L-RD opened the doors for me to not only serve with Bikers For Christ but as a full time prison minister and volunteer Chaplain, at a medium security prison in Oklahoma. Today, my wife Sunny and I, ride together with BFC Tulsa Crew. I am clean and sober and living my life for the L-RD, riding for Jesus with the most REACHING THE UNREACHABLE amazing Brothers and Sisters. Looking back, I can tell you that I really love and appreciate Wheels Of Grace magazine for their ministry and how they touched this old biker's heart when I really needed it. Thank you very much! A-One Bikers For Christ Tulsa Chapter One month later… Hello Peter! I don't know if you remember me, but I contacted you awhile back with my testimony and about a subscription of Wheels Of Grace for DCCC in Hominy Oklahoma. The Chaplain received the magazines. Yesterday, I returned to my Chaplain duties and I was talking with a couple of the fellas while looking through the magazines. One of them is a former 1%er who is serving a life sentence. He is a solid Christian now and he loves the magazine. I was sharing my story with him about how I came across WOG while I was incarcerated years ago. He is a chapel worker who runs the soundboard for chapel services and he also facilitates a faith based substance abuse program called CASA (Christians Against Substance Abuse). He was so grateful to get the magazine. I really appreciate you! Thank you! Mike Traupman aka, "A-One" Bikers For Christ MM Tulsa Crew (God answers prayer; even twelve years later)
