22 | WheelsOfGrace.com | Issue 49 Onramp Hey, this is Steve, the 3:16 for Bikers guy. I ride a HOG and I love all motorcycles. If you love bikes, then this is for you! Some numbers instantly mean something to a biker. 883, 1200, 74, Milwaukee 8. There's a bunch more. If you started riding when I did, the numbers associated with riding would include 305, 450, 500, 650, and 750. You undoubtedly know the numbers 3,1,6, 3:16, and know it comes from John 3:16 in the Bible. You've seen it behind home plate at a baseball game, or behind the goal posts when extra points are attempted. Not only there, but you might even see a Highway 316 if you're riding in Georgia, Connecticut, Wyoming, New York, or even Thailand! Each of these locations have a 316 Highway! I want to bring you along with me on a unique Highway 316, to have several short looks at the 3:16s found in each New Testament book of the Bible. So, saddle up, get in formation and be ready to hit the 316 Highway! Milepost 1 on the Highway WHO'S YOUR DADDY? One thing in common with many bikers and 1%-ers is this; they come from broken homes. Remember the conclusion to Wild Hogs: Ty Penington shouts, "Move that bus!" and Jack, the tough guy breaks down in tears with the rest of the Del Fuegos. They have a new home! Ty says, "Here's the thing, you're talking about a bunch of guys that grew up in broken homes. They really didn't have a home. And now they've got one. With a bidet in it." How about you? Maybe you know who your daddy is, but do you know your Heavenly Daddy? He wants to welcome you into his Family through his Son, Jesus Christ. Onramp to the 316 Highway As soon as Jesus was baptized, he went up out of the water. At that moment heaven was opened, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove and lighting on him. – Matthew 3:16 In the very next verse, a voice from Heaven was heard, saying, "You are my beloved Son in whom I am well pleased." Did you ever hear something like that from your dad? So, here's your invitation to become part of God's Forever Family; receive Jesus Christ. Don't gotta do a bunch of religious stuff or fix up your life. Invite Jesus in and, if there's something that's hurting you or others in your life, he'll bring it to your attention, and you will want to change. "…some people did accept him. They believed in him, and he gave them the right to become children of God."— John 1:12 It's really that simple; just receive Jesus. "Lord Jesus, I repent of my sins, come into my life. I make you my Lord and Savior." Off the main highway: The 12 disciples had to 'prospect' with Jesus for three years before they were patched in to being world-changing Apostles. It's not complicated; it's just a lifetime. But all lifetimes start with a birth. Your Heavenly Daddy can hardly wait. He's been to all your prenatal appointments and has heard your heart beat on His monitor. It's time to be born. Your Daddy is waiting! He's got cigars to pass out as soon as you show up!
