102 | AD Today 2019 | ALL IN WELCOME TO THE AD FAMILY Former members of IDC-USA, IDI, and The Drake Group discuss their decision to merge with AD and what they're excited to bring to AD from their former group. AD merged with IDC-USA, bringing together the two largest independent Bearings & Power Transmission buying/marketing groups in North America. IDC-USA added 27 employees and 76 new members with 250 branch locations to the AD family as well as redistribution centers in Indiana and Nevada and a range of strong private label products. AD merged The Drake Group, LLC and AD's Building Materials Division to form the AD Gypsum Supply Division, bringing together two of the largest independent gypsum supply buying groups in North America. AD Gypsum Supply is now comprised of 153 members with 387 branch locations. AD merged with IDI Independent Distributors Inc. to form AD Industrial & Safety - Canada. IDI brought 103 independent industrial Canadian distributors with over 364 locations into the AD community. AD also welcomed 21 new employees, a distribution center located in Mississauga, Ontario, and a range of strong private label products.
