Waters Ave. Tampa, Fl. 33634 PH. 813-882-8181 When you and your family are si ng on the couch watching Sunday night football, don't you no ce the number of players that walk off the field due to a knee injury? Or even when your child is at his soccer tournament, and he's limping off the field due to an ankle injury. Some of the most common injuries in athletes come to be neck, back, knee, shoulder, and head injuries yet some people choose to ignore some of the best alterna ves to medicine possible. Chiroprac c care is an alterna ve to medicine. It's a natural way of preven ng injury while also relieving pain in the process of correc ng posture, and strengthening your nervous system. I say "some people" because approximately 90% of athletes use chiroprac c care. Has it been brought to your a en on that every single NFL team has a chiropractor? Chiropractors treat every pa ent with many goals for their care plan, yet their main goal has always been to treat the problem, not the symptom. Let's take Tom Brady, Tiger Woods, and Michael Jordan for example. Professional football, golf, and basketball players all share one thing in common, they all receive chiroprac c care. Their reason for receiving chiroprac c care may not exactly be since they have received an injury, but more on the lines of wan ng to improve their spinal alignment and movement, increasing their mobility. All athletes spend so much of their me at prac ce on their feet, ge ng in the correct physical condi on which puts pressure on the spine and joints. By receiving chiroprac c care on a rou ne basis relieves much of the s ffness, pain, and corrects the posture for a be er athle c performance. When most of us feel a sensa on of pain, our first solu on is medicine or even surgery in some cases. Yet taking that ibuprofen for your neck pain doesn't take away the fact that the misalignment of the bones in your spine puts pressure on the nerves in your neck, causing your intense pain. This misalignment is called a subluxa on. Athletes such as football players for example play a very rough and physical sport, where just taking a pain reliever is not an op on. Chiroprac c care is your answer to correc ng those subluxa ons, resul ng in minimal to no pain. Through adjustments and stretching, chiroprac c could be your daughter's solu on to her pain throughout her volleyball season. Chiroprac c uses noninvasive techniques, reduces pain, provides correc on to your spinal cord and nervous system, increases strength, prevents injuries, and be ers your performance. Going to a chiropractor will prepare you for game day, allowing you to build up your mo lity and strength with a lower chance for injury. "I didn't know how much I could improve un l I started seeing a chiropractor. Since I've been in chiroprac c, I've improved my leaps and bounds both mentally and physically,"- Michael Jordan. Athletes like Jordan have come to appreciate the science and technique behind helping the body heal itself, using a non- invasive and drug-free approach. Now what about Olympic athletes? Usain Bolt, known to be the world's fastest man, suffered from scoliosis from youth to adulthood. He men oned, "when I was younger, the scoliosis wasn't really a problem. But you grow and it gets worse. My spine was really curved bad. The early part of my career, when we didn't really know much about it, it really hampered me because I got injured every year." As an athlete he decided to use chiroprac c care instead of going through surgery for two reasons; faster recovery and be er performance. Through loads of extensive training, sweaty compe ons, and intense injuries, chiroprac c is proven to be the name of the game. Come in to Family Health Chiroprac c, let's strengthen your spine, and get you ready to perform at your best. Page 8 | Abby's Magazine - www.AbbysMag.com
