Page 12 | Abby's Magazine - www.AbbysMag.com I'm 49 and have recently developed slightly elevated blood pressure. What do you suggest? Craig Hi Craig, Hypertension can result from a variety of underlying issues. If your stress levels have recently increased you may try an adaptogen, such as "Adaptra." Magnesium deficiency may be a factor. Try adding 600-800mg in divided doses and check for improvement in your blood pressure. Have your kidney function checked for optimal function. If they are not, I recommend "Restore" and "Kidney Chi" for 4 months. One tsp before each meal to repair any kidney tubule damage. Stay in touch. What could you recommend for acid reflux and a sliding hiatal hernia? Rose Hi Rose, The following approach has never failed my clients: Go on an all-fluid diet for four days. Use "Digestron" (2 before each meal), then consume soft, easy-to-digest food, chewing thoroughly and going forward do not drink appreciable fluid within one hour following your meals. Use "Digestron" five minutes before you eat and if necessary at the end of your meals. I took Klonopin for 20 years, have been off it for 5 years, and am now drug free. It took a real toll on my system and I'm having trouble getting back to homeostasis. I had a saliva hormone test and it showed that I have adrenal fatigue. I have had no success and suffer with little sleep. What would you recommend as a supplement regimen to aid my healing? Harry Dear Harry, My recommendations are: Take 2 or 3 caps of Coenzymated B complex upon wakening with 2 Adrenal Support supplements such as Adrenal Optimizer by Jarrow or Adrenal Health by Gaia. At 3pm sharp take another 2 Adrenal Support supplements. Take 1 tablespoon of "Restore" daily for 6 months, and then let me know how things work out. What are some low impact exercises that I can do to lose weight and improve my health? I'm in my early 50's, weigh 325lbs., and cannot bike or swim. Thanks, Richard Hi Richard, I'm recommending a health oriented diet rather than a weight loss one. It will repair damage to many organs of your body while you are dropping weight. As for exercise, I recommend you start walking every day and pick up your pace as you feel more energized. I'm trying to help my 25-year-old son with extreme anxiety. He has never drank or smoked and works out often. Eats pretty much the same foods. Graduated FSU Magna cum laude and just crashed. OCD? We have tried so many RX and herbs. Can you please suggest something different? I really appreciate all your suggestions, thoughts, ideas, and help. I have always been helped greatly with your employees at your store. Thanking you in advance. Gail Hi Gail, We recommend the following: Coenzymated B complex -2 or 3 when he wakes. Inositol powder by Jarrow-1/4 tsp in water every 3 hours. "Restore" 1 tsp before each meal or 1 tbsp daily. Lithium orotate (5mg) 1 when he wakes with the B's and 1 at bedtime. For more information, feel free to call us at (813) 996-6999 10am-noon M-F. Hi Collin! I had a consult with you a couple Saturdays ago. I got the following for indigestion/acid reflux and to ward off glaucoma: Slippery Elm (3 - 2x a day, with capsules opened into a small amount of water) Taurine BosMed Vectomega Renew Life Probiotic Lutein and Eye Pressure Support I had been on a prescription of Omeprazol; and as you recommended had alternated it with Slippery Elm for about 10 days. I've been following all your instructions. I'm having significant reflux, seems to be a bubbling up of gastric juices. I'm finding myself taking several Tums a day to get immediate relief from it. It happens no matter how bland my food is. Do you have any recommendations? Thanks so much. Lynn Hi Lynn. It's time to add in Flora Brand Swedish Bitters alcohol free, 2 teaspoons with each large meal. If that doesn't work, try apple cider vinegar, 1-2 Tablespoons in 3-4 ounces of water with each large meal. Also, increase the slippery elm to 3 caps 3X per day after meals rather than before meals. See if that works. Try Goat Kefir also instead of Tums. Let me know how it goes. Glad you're taking your stuff properly so far! Keep it up.
