14 | WheelsOfGrace.com | Issue 40 Not long ago, I was out on my bike to get a little wind through my rapidly thinning and greying hair and I realized I wasn't real sure where I was going. I thought I did. I thought I made the correct turn back at the last intersection, but nothing was familiar. I was making great time by pushing the limit just a little, but clearly didn't know what lay ahead. I saw a lot of signs like Stop, Dangerous Curve Ahead, and even a flashing neon sign telling me to slow down because I was going too fast. I even saw a sign that said "Construction Ahead, Use Caution." I knew at that point that I needed to pull over to the side of the road and assess my situation and try and figure out where I was headed. About that time, the Lord reminded me of a passage of Scripture in the book of Proverbs that says "There is a way that seems right to a man, but in the end it leads to death."(Proverbs 14:12). I was able to look at a map, get my bearings, turn from the road I was on and get headed in the right direction. I have been on so many roads that were leading to death and most of the time didn't even realize it until it was nearly too late. I was fortunate enough to have a very good friend show me a map called the Bible that clearly detailed where I had gone wrong, where I had made a turn to the left when it should have been to the right, and how I was not even looking at the warning signs that were right in front of me. I was so full of myself and just knew that I was going in the right direction and that I didn't need to stop and ask anyone where I was or why nothing was making sense. Only after I realized that I did not have everything figured out was I able to finally get on the right path. LoSt My WAy Mike Stewart, F.A.I.T.H. Riders Again in the Bible, he explained to me a passage from the book of John that says, "I am the way and the truth and the life, no one comes to the Father except through Me." (John 14:6). Many ways we travel may seem right but in reality they aren't. Many times I encounter men and women out riding who are certain they are going to heaven because they have been "good" or "not done anything that bad," Jesus is clearly telling us that He is the only way. Once I fully realized that and asked Jesus to save a dumb guy like me from myself and to be in charge of my life, I am confident that I am on the right road. He and only He can flood you with peace and joy unlike anything or any substance you may have tried in your life. Won't you give Jesus a chance in your life? Simply call out to Him and ask Him to forgive you and to save your soul. Once you do that, you will never be the same again. Shoot me an email and let's connect.
